Community Development Apprenticeships

Community Development apprenticeship framework

The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) was commissioned to research and report on the demand for a Community Development apprenticeship framework in England, Northern Ireland and Wales and a modern apprenticeship framework in Scotland. Initially, secondary research provided an overview of the community development sector, the current levels of qualifications in the workforce and any vocational quailifcations available. This was followed by primary research with employers and practitioners in the four nations to obtain feedback on the demand for an apprenticeship and a modern apprenticeship framework. A final report was produced following analysis of the research, and this is available to download here.
